Microsoft Announces Surface Event On October 12

A few days ago, a leaker revealed the date for a surface event – now it turns out that it was just off the mark. Microsoft has just sent out the invitation for the event. New hardware will be presented on October 12th.

Microsoft announces Surface event “Save The Date” on October 12

The usually well-informed Microsoft specialist “The Walking Cat” revealed on Twitter a few days ago that Microsoft is planning an event on October 11th. He was almost right with that: That will take place on October 12th expected surface event.

Microsoft has not yet revealed much more than the date. As usual, Microsoft will be streaming the event live on its website. The WinFuture team will provide you with all the important information about innovations that evening.

What’s New?

As for the clues that you might be able to glean from the invitation design, things are going to be really tricky this year. The event website shows one of the Windows 11 wallpapers in bright colors. What that means is unclear.

However, we have already discovered plenty of indications of what is to come in the past few weeks. Microsoft is rumored to be unveiling the Surface Pro 9 and Surface Laptop 5. Only yesterday we were able to give you exclusive details about the planned devices. An interesting aspect of this is that there may not be any new AMD laptops.

You can find out more about this in a separate post. There may also be a refresh of the Surface Studio and new accessories. Also, a really interesting rumor has it that Microsoft will be releasing a gaming-focused Surface Laptop with 12th Gen Intel processors and Nvidia 3000-series graphics cards.

A supposed “Spec Sheet” with the technical details for a Surface Gaming Laptop appeared about a week ago. By the way, it’s now ten years since Microsoft introduced the first Surface Pro tablet with Windows 8. Maybe this is also a reason to announce something special (Surface Gaming).
