Microsoft introduces new wallpapers for Windows

Microsoft’s design department is pleased with a new wallpaper pack. This time there are a series of “abstract” images that play with shapes and colors. One of them is vaguely reminiscent of the current standard “Bloom” wallpaper that comes with Windows 11.

Microsoft designers keep delivering new wallpapers

In recent months, Microsoft designers have started releasing new packs of wallpapers every now and then. It was usually used to celebrate one occasion or another, including the birthday of Windows XP. Now a new package has been released without needing a reason for it.

The name of the new wallpaper pack is Abstract Dreamscapes. It contains a total of four different new background images that look very different and actually show some very abstract shapes. Of course, everyone has to judge for themselves which of the pictures they might like.

Microsoft’s design team says the wallpapers are intended to “capture a sense of elegance and movement while providing a visually rich experience that energizes the user’s digital workspace.” What sounds quite puffy is described here, among other things, by a new wallpaper that consists of various swirls and violet-pink-blue-turquoise colors.

However, this new background image (cover image) in particular is reminiscent of the “Bloom” that comes with Windows 11 as the standard wallpaper, which is now no longer only available in light and dark versions, but also in a very colorful version on the new Copilot+ PCs . As always, the Abstract Dreamscapes wallpaper pack from Microsoft Design download from the website. The package is available in both a version for PCs and a version for mobile devices, so that smartphone users can also “enjoy” the new wallpapers.
