Microsoft strengthens its cooperation with OpenAI by making a fresh “multibillion-dollar” investment

Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft mentioned that the partnership with OpenAI will help the developers and organizations with the provision of AI models, toolchain with Azure, infrastructure, and much more. Reportedly, one of the biggest investors of Microsoft is OpenAI. It appears that Microsoft is aiming to benefit from the popularity of ChatGPT. It will implement the OpenAI model across various products be it consumer-based, or enterprise based. Previously, it was also rumored that Microsoft could integrate Bing as well as various apps like Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook with ChatGPT.

Well, it is noteworthy that the exact percentage of investment has not been revealed by the company. However, the company is targeting to maximize the commercialization of its Azure OpenAI services. Since the last week, Microsoft has started rolling out these services. These services consist of some AI models developed by OpenAI like GPT-3.5, DALL-E, and Codex. These services are specifically targeted at businesses to help them with scaling, management, and data handling options offered by Azure.

The CEO, Sam Altman, states that Microsoft and OpenAI are all set to create more advanced AI that could be advantageous for everyone.
