Netflix Might Increase Subscription Costs Once again

With time, the number of digital content platforms similar to Netflix, Spotify, YouTube Premium, Prime Video, and Disney+ is increasing. The same is the case with their prices. Furthermore, it appears that in the upcoming years, this expense will rise even further. This is due to analyst predictions that Netflix would increase the cost of its streaming plans in 2024.

Some analysts predict that in 2024 Netflix might increase its prices. Well, this information refers to users residing in North America or Europe. Last year, the company increased its prices in the US and other markets. Despite the users backlash, the company didn’t report any major loss. According to recent pieces of information, the prices are set to increase once again this year.

John Hodulik, an analyst at UBS, stated, “We expect to see rate increases [from Netflix] this year,” implying that revenue growth of 15% may occur in 2024. Netflix increased the monthly cost of its Basic plan in the US last October from $9.99 to $11.99, with corresponding increases in the UK and France.

Well, the price increase won’t be just limited to these countries. Eventually it will spread all across the globe. Although the company has a large user base, the profits are not growing at the expected rates. For this reason, the company is adopting such approached to compensate for things. One of such approach was the account sharing restriction implemented in 2023.
