HMD Global is all set to launch its new Nokia 8.1 for global markets, the company has leaked official images/posters of the device which reveals complete design and specifications.

Nokia 8.1 is actually a rebranded design of Nokia X7 focusing on global markets, the device will exhibit 6.18-inch notched display with 2240×1080 pixels of resolution. The phone’s back is packed with glass and edges are covered with an aluminum frame.

Nokia 8.1 has the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, on top of that you have a dual camera setup vertically aligned showcasing Zeiss Carl Optics which means incredibly elegant photos and videos can be taken with this device.

A combination of 12MP and 13MP dual camera with LED flash will capture unforgettable moments with quality. Nokia 8.1 will boast 20MP front selfie shooter with AI capabilities and enhancements which could capture various scenes on various occasions.

Under the hood, you will have Snapdragon 710 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, you can also have a premium option of 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The phone is powered by Android 9 Pie and 3500mAh battery.

The leaked images do not provide any information on the launch date and the price of the device but you can expect little higher price as compared to Chinese variants at the same level. It is believed that Nokia will launch the phone before the holiday season starts in order to get most out of it.

Nokia is also focused on launching the flagship Nokia 9 Pureview with Penta camera lens, before launching this flagship would Nokia be able to get the response for the premium midrange like Nokia 8.1 is still shady.
