OnePlus is working on the new OnePlus 10 series. The series will receive the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, as claimed by OnePlus CEO Pete Lau. The lineup might get an announcement in China in January 2022.

Previously we heard the Pro model of the series will receive this latest chipset from Qualcomm. Today’s claim depicts that two models – the base model and the Pro model – will get this SoC. The company could be restructuring its smartphone line and planning to release high-performing devices.

According to sources, the OnePlus 10 series will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which comes with eight processing cores. This SoC has powerful Kryo Prime cores, a new generation Adreno accelerator, and a Snapdragon X65 5G modem.

The Pro model will sport a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. It will also come with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a UFS 3.1 flash drive with up to 256GB internal storage.

The rear side will house a triple-camera setup, including a 48MP sensor, a 50MP wide-angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto module.

According to several rumors, the OnePlus 10 series is all set to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series. That could be the reason for this early release of the series. The source claims that OnePlus might officially announce the series in January and will start selling the device from the following month.
