OnePlus introduces the OnePlus Featuring keyboard 81 Pro

The company OnePlus has unveiled the global variant of the OnePlus 11. In addition to the global variant of the smartphone, the company has introduced several other products. Among those one of the most attention-grabbing products is the very first keyboard by the company. It is officially named OnePlus Featuring keyboard 81 Pro. Quite a strange name.

The company declares that it is a mechanical keyboard. It is based on keychron technology. The company states that it is the first product that has been designed as part of a co-creation platform i.e., ‘OnePlus Featuring’ on an international scale.

The keyboard is equipped with Marble-mallow keycaps. OnePlus claims that the product will present users with the best typing experience. It will be operational as well as convenient simultaneously. Reportedly, the keyboard is created by the OnePlus Team. It has an alert slider similar to the one presented on the smartphones of the company. Additionally, it has a red ‘esc’ button. It also holds a customizable rotary knob.

The body of the keyboard is made from aluminum. The keyboard uses a thermoplastic material. The thermoplastic material creates a gentle bounce with each press. Thus, providing extreme comfort, improved hand feel, and ideal resilience. In addition to this, the company has introduced optimized tactile switches. Furthermore, the keyboard is supplied with a specialized double gasket. The double gasket generates less sound and provides an overall comfortable experience to the users.

It is anticipated that the keyboard will operate with MacOS, Windows, Linux, as well as Android. Moreover, the company claims that the users will have the access to open-source firmware, like QMK and VIA. Besides this, the keys can be remapped. The keyboard is also provided with RGB lighting effects.

The keys are hot-swappable. It increases the possibilities from the customization perspective. As of now, the company has not shared a word regarding the price of the keyboard. There is a possibility that more information will be followed soon.
