OnePlus will reportedly introduce its first foldable smartphone in August

A fresh report claims that OnePlus plans to introduce its first foldable phone in August. Max Jambor, who routinely shares OnePlus-related information, is the source of this information.

Earlier this year, the company confirmed the release of its foldable smartphone. However, the company has not shared any specific details yet. If we go by this rumor, then the company will soon unveil its foldable smartphone. There is no information on whether the company will introduce one or two foldable smartphones.

Possibly the company is going to introduce a book-style foldable. However, the company registered two different names i.e., OnePlus V Fold and OnePlus V Flip earlier this year. The name Fold refers to a book-style device whereas Flip refers to the clamshell foldable. Nothing can’t be said for now only time will unveil the exact details.

Besides this, the company will face competition in the smartphone market. Since more and more companies are planning to introduce foldable devices to global markets. Honestly, the competition is tougher inside China. When it comes to Fold devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be a tough competitor to OnePlus’s foldable smartphone. Other competitors include the Huawei Mate X3 and the HONOR Magic Vs arrived, and more.

On the other hand, in the clamshell foldable space, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be introduced later this year. Other devices like the Huawei P50 Pocket and the OPPO Find N2 Flip are already available. Moreover, two Motorola-branded clamshell foldable phones are also expected to be announced.
