OPPO to Establish a Production Unit in Pakistan

OPPO, one of the highly popular Chinese smartphone marker in the world is interested to establish its production unit in Pakistan. OPPO has shown interest to develop its production unit in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) aiming to meet the local demands of wanting modern, up-to-date smartphone devices in the country.
During a meeting with KP Finance Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra, the CEO of OPPO George Long expressed his keen interest in developing OPPO production unit in KP.

There was discussion regarding the investment details of OPPO in KP province, in the meeting. The special assistant to KP CM on Science Technology and Information Technology Kamran Bangash was also present during the meeting.
George expressed his views and said that establishing a production unit will ensure that Pakistanis are offered quality smartphone devices and along with this it will also create job opportunities for over 4000 people.
OPPO’s investment in Pakistan was welcomed by Taimur Saleem who ensure full cooperation by the government. He said that the government will provide the Chinese smartphone maker with all the facilities.
He complimented the work done by the government so far in the promotion of foreign investment in the country. The steps taken have enabled foreign and local investors to invest in Pakistan.
