PS5 cloud streaming appears to be undergoing user beta testing

It is expected that Sony will introduce the cloud streaming option for PS5 users in the near future. It is anticipated to arrive as part of PlayStation Plus Premium. According to some recent pieces of information, the cloud streaming feature appears to be in beta testing.

Previously, it was reported that cloud streaming would arrive on PS5 in the middle of June. However, the tests were being carried out internally. One thing to notice here is that the company didn’t share any information regarding the arrival of this feature. The company only claimed that it would share the details from time to time.

As of now, the company has not shared any official information regarding the streaming option. However, some users are beta-testing the new feature. A user shared that he received an email from the company to download the latest PS5 software beta, thus indicating that the beta supports streaming PS5 games in the cloud.

Your cloud saves will immediately load with PS5 cloud streaming

Given the fact that the feature is in beta testing, it is expected to arrive anytime soon. Do note that the feature is not just limited to a few users rather it is accessible to several users. According to a user, multiple resolutions will be offered on cloud streaming on PS5. Users could select the resolution. Besides this, cloud saves will also load directly.

Users who have subscribed to PlayStation Plus Premium are receiving invites for the software beta. There are several titles available for testing, like Returnal, Fall Guys, Fortnite, God Of War: Ragnarok, Destiny 2, Demon’s Souls, Death Stranding, and a few others.
