Redmi K40 will come in a new colour option with a little design change

Redmi is slightly giving a new design to its K40 smartphone. The design is said to come from an inspiration by the pattern seen on blades and knives made of Damascus steel.

Redmi K40 has already launched in China. The earlier variant came out with only one colour – Ink Feather. The company will now be introducing one more colour option.

The company has also given a new look to the backside of this phone. According to GizChina, “Designers were inspired by the pattern that can be seen on blades and knives made of Damascus steel.”

If we talk about the Redmi K40 series, we have the Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro, and Redmi K40 Pro Plus (+). They all have the same screen – a Samsung AMOLED E4 panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD + resolution, rated DisplayMate A+.

Unlike big-sized cameras on the Redmi K20 Pro and K30 Pro, the new line has a record-breaking small hole for the front camera.

Then this series support for Wi-Fi 6E, infrared port, stereo speakers (with support for Dolby Atmos sound enhancement technology), dual-band GPS, NFC, and IP53 dust and moisture protection.

Redmi k40 Gaming Version

Moreover, it is pertinent to outline here that the company is working on a new Redmi K40 Gaming smartphone, one of the most affordable gaming machines on the market.

The key known features of this gaming device would be a high-quality OLED panel with narrow bezels, a small hole in the upper centre for its front camera, a screen to display 1.07 billion colours, will support for HDR 10+, and the colour gamut DCI-P3.
