Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra Leak shows design of the high-end tablet
New render images provide a preview of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. While the design is strongly reminiscent of its predecessor and retains a controversial feature, there are arguably important changes under the hood.
New leak for the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra
One Samsung leak after another is currently appearing. After images of the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 were first shown, official images of the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 followed this week. Now the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is shown in detailed render images.
The premium tablet from the South Korean manufacturer is expected to hit the market in September 2026. The current images indicate that the company is relying on continuity in its external appearance and is adopting the familiar format of its predecessor. The hardware engineers are apparently focusing on improvements under the hood.
Old on the outside, new on the inside
The dimensions of 326.34 x 208.46 x 5.12 millimeters are said to be exactly identical to those of the previous model. As a result, industry observers are again expecting a display with a size of 14.6 inches, based on AMOLED technology with 120 Hertz. Users still have to put up with the centrally placed cutout for the front camera. This notch has often been criticized in the past. Instead of a visual restart, the manufacturer is probably focusing on performance. So there is probably a change in the SoC. According to unconfirmed leaks, the use of the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 with a structure width of three nanometers is very likely. The decision to rely on a processor from MediaTek instead of the in-house Exynos or a Snapdragon from Qualcomm marks a change in strategy. Possible Plus model
The introduction of the Ultra class began a few years ago and was aimed at serving the professional user market.
