Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series unveiled
In addition to the new Galaxy S22 series, Samsung has also introduced its new tablets of the Galaxy Tab S8 series. Above all, the top model with the suffix “Ultra” has to set new standards and of course, also compete with Apple’s iPads with a 14.6-inch gigantic screen.
Screen sizes from 11 to almost 15 inches
Samsung is launching three new tablets as part of the Galaxy Tab S8 series, the entry-level model starts at 749 euros. Even in the basic version, the customer already gets an 11-inch Super AMOLED display with a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hertz, a strong Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 high-end SoC, and decent cameras.
With the Galaxy Tab S8 Plus, the screen grows to a hefty 12.4 inches and has the same resolution. The refresh rate and camera configuration are also the same with a 12-megapixel front camera, a pretty capable rear camera with a 13-megapixel main sensor and a five-megapixel depth sensor, and an under-display fingerprint reader.
As previously reported, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will offer “sliced madness”: with a 14.6-inch screen diagonal, it’s Samsung’s largest tablet yet and, for the first time in an Android tablet, even has a “notch” for the two front cameras, each with 12 megapixels Met. At the back, the same dual-camera system is used that can also be found in the two cheaper versions.
All models can be easily used for handwriting and drawing thanks to the S Pen stylus, which has a 30 percent reduction in input lag. They are also all optionally offered in variants with integrated 5G support, with Samsung charging a surcharge of 100 euros compared to the price of the pure WLAN models. The new Samsung tablets will also be available in Germany from February 25, 2022. As mentioned, the Galaxy Tab S8 costs at least 749 euros, while the Galaxy Tab S8 Plus, with prices from a huge 949 euros, asks a significant additional cost. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra even costs at least 1149 euros, with the price range even rising to 1599 euros for the top equipment if you want 16 gigabytes of RAM, 512 GB internal flash memory, and 5G support.
