Samsung May Drop Galaxy Note 21

There is no doubt that the next flagship smartphone from Samsung will be the Galaxy S21, which will be launched in early 2021. But what happens after that is unclear, because the Koreans are apparently planning to leave out the Galaxy Note 21, as it was rumored earlier that Samsung Would Cancel Galaxy Note Series.

The first rumors about the end of the Samsung Galaxy Note 21 existed last summer, now there is new information. And they don’t bode well for fans of the series, because several well-informed sources write that the device once known as the phablet will not get a new version this year. And you can certainly ask yourself what that means for the future – whether the Galaxy Note might not be completely abandoned.

No signs of development

SamMobile reports, citing the renowned Leaker Ice Universe alias @Universeice, that there is currently no information on the development of the Note 21 series, which is an “unusual indication”, according to the industry insider. That is quite believable because even if there is no concrete information, the word almost always gets around that a device is in work, usually around eight months before the launch of the respective model.

The Galaxy Note 21 is still not excluded, but it does not make it any more likely. Because with Max Weinbach, a second industry expert currently sees no signs of publication. Weinbach, who is among others active at XDA, recently listed the Samsung flagships for the next year and these are the following models:

• Galaxy S21 FE
• Galaxy S21
• Galaxy S21 +
• Galaxy S21 Ultra
• Galaxy Z Fold 3
• Galaxy Z Flip 3
• Galaxy Z Fold FE

You can of course immediately see that Note devices shine here because of their absence. But that doesn’t mean that pen friends will miss out. Because it is expected that the Galaxy S21 will offer Ultra S Pen support, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 should also work with it. All in all, it cannot be ruled out that the Galaxy Note 20 was the last of its kind – and at all.
