Samsung has quietly released the Galaxy A13 5G in the US with a Dimensity SoC and a large 6.5-inch screen. It’s a budget-friendly smartphone that comes only for $249.99 in the US and will be available for sale from December 3rd.
Samsung has been testing this Galaxy smartphone for quite some time. Almost two weeks back, the device received its Bluetooth certificate and before that, it also landed on the FCC listing.
Talking about its specifications, the Galaxy A13 5G sports a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a 720 x 1600 pixel resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The front panel features a waterdrop notch; the company calls it the Infinity-V display, and is home to the 5MP shooter with an f/2.0 aperture.
The rear side is equipped with a triple-camera setup and an LED flash. The primary camera features a 50MP sensor, while the pairing sensors include one 2MP macro lens and one 2MP depth sensor.
Power-wise, this Samsung smartphone comes with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, which is built on a 7nm fabrication process, and an integrated Mali G57 GPU. The smartphone will be available in two variants – 3GB and 4GB of RAM, + 32GB and 64GB of storage.
It runs OneUI based on Android 11 and has a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging. It measures 164.5 x 76.5 x 8.8mm and weighs 195g.
Other notable features on this device include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner (embedded in the power button), a 3.5mm audio jack, and Samsung Pay (NFC supported). Connectivity-wise, it features 5G, 4G, Dual-Sim, Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, and GPS.
