Shazam Update Makes Syncing with Apple Music and Spotify Easier

Apple has rolled out an update for its Shazam app, making it even better at syncing songs with music platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.
With the new version 18.9, Shazam now automatically adds songs identified using the Music Recognition feature on iPhones and iPads to your “My Shazam Tracks” playlist. This playlist is available for both Apple Music and Spotify users. Previously, only the songs manually discovered within the Shazam app were added to this list, while tracks recognized through the Control Center’s Music Recognition feature were left out.
Here’s what is new:
- Songs identified via Music Recognition in Control Center, Siri, or Shortcuts will now sync seamlessly to your “My Shazam Tracks” playlist.
- To refresh or re-sync your songs, just go to Shazam settings, toggle “Sync your songs” off and on, and all previously discovered tracks will be re-synced. Make sure to reopen Spotify to see your playlist updates.
Apple also recommends enabling iCloud sync in the Shazam app to keep your Shazam History safe and accessible across all your devices.
Shazam is free to download from the App Store. Ready to give it a try? You can Download Shazam here.
