The 108MP camera sensor by Samsung will be used in a non-Android smartphone: WIKO 5G

Several Android smartphones have utilized the camera sensors by the tech giant Samsung in their smartphones. These include smartphones by Xiaomi and Realme. However, one thing to notice here is that all such smartphones that have utilized the 108MP ISOCELL HM2 sensor were based on Android. But now it seems like the time has arrived when for the first time a non-Android-based phone will be using the camera sensor by Samsung. This is going to be used in WIKO 5G. WIKO 5G is powered by HarmonyOS. HarmonyOS is the operating system of Huawei.

The headquarter of the WIKO smartphone is located in France. Quite recently the company has entered the premises of China. It appears that WIKO is selling the 5G smartphones by Huawei under its brand name. of course this is quite evident since the US has imposed a ban on China for selling its 5G smartphones.

WIKO 5G is an obvious example of an alliance between the two companies. WIKO 5G is essentially the Huawei Nova 9 SE. it is equipped with 5G and HarmonyOS. It holds the camera sensor by Samsung which act as the main camera. it has an 8MP ultra-wide sensor as well as two 2MP cameras (for depth and macro). Besides this, the smartphone has a display of a 6.78-inch LCD. It has a refresh rate of 90Hz. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC. It has a 5,000mAh battery.

Huawei was once considered a rival to Samsung specifically concerning imaging tech. it is now noteworthy how Huawei is adopting the tech by its rival in its products. Other than WIKO 5G, several other companies are acquiring the camera sensors by the tech giant Samsung for their smartphones. We have examples of Motorola Edge 30 Ultra and Redmi Note 12 Discovery. Both these smartphones utilize the 200MP camera sensor by Samsung.

Additionally, we can say that the chip business of Samsung is not going well for the South Korean tech giant. But for sure it has achieved much in the industry through its camera sensors.
