The iQOO Neo 9 will have the largest heat dissipation unit ever seen on a Neo-branded device

The new iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G is set to launch in the Indian market this month on February 2. As of now, we have learned a lot about the upcoming device officially from the company. However, certain aspects are still behind the curtain. The Indian CEO of iQOO claimed something big regarding the upcoming iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G handset. He posted that the Neo 9 Pro will have the biggest heat dissipation unit ever seen on a Neo-branded phone from the company.

Heat dissipation of the iQOO Neo 9 Pro

The CEO posted on X that the vapor chamber cooling unit of the upcoming smartphone has a surface area of 6043mm². In contrast to this, the iQOO Neo 7 Pro features a 4013mm² vapor chamber unit. This year’s model is noteworthy for outperforming the previous one by 167%, which was bigger than the one in the Neo 6 Pro. Well, this is a significant upgrade.

According to reports, the upcoming iQOO Neo 9 Pro (8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage) will be priced at Rs 37,999 ($457) in India. We can expect another variant featuring 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The smartphone is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which will be paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. It will run on FunTouch OS 14-based Android 14.

The iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It will accompany a 16MP front camera. On the back, the smartphone will feature a 50MP Sony IMX920 main camera with OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and an LED flash. Some other notable features include an IR blaster, a Q1 supercomputing chip, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. It will be available in two color options: Conqueror Black and Fiery Red.
