The Last Of US Game TV Series Go Live On HBO

(Los Angeles, California) – Fans of the critically acclaimed video game “The Last of Us” are in for a treat as HBO announced they will be adapting the game into a television series. The network has acquired the rights to the game and will be working with the game’s creator, Neil Druckmann, who will serve as the writer and executive producer for the series.

The game, which was released in 2013, follows the story of Joel and Ellie as they navigate through a post-apocalyptic world overrun by a fungal infection. The game received widespread acclaim for its storytelling, characters, and gameplay, and has sold over 17 million copies worldwide.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Neil and the team at Naughty Dog to bring ‘The Last of Us’ to life on HBO,” said Casey Bloys, President of HBO Programming. “The game is a masterpiece in storytelling and character development, and we believe it will make for a powerful and emotional series.”

The show will be produced by Naughty Dog, the studio behind the game, in partnership with Sony Pictures Television. Druckmann will be joined by Craig Mazin, the creator of the critically acclaimed series “Chernobyl,” as a writer and executive producer.

The first episode of the series was aired yesterday, but fans can expect the show to stay true to the game’s story while also exploring new characters and events. “The Last of Us” is just one of the latest video games to be adapted for television and film, and with the support of the original creators, the series promises to be a hit among both the fans of the game and new audiences alike.
