The Redmi K70 series is now official
The new Redmi K70 series by Xiaomi is now official. The series comprises the Redmi K70, K70 Pro, and K70E smartphones. The Redmi K70E is the cheapest member of the series. In this short piece, we will uncover the specs of the Redmi K70 and the Redmi K70 Pro.
All the members of the series are almost the same
The design language of the three smartphones is the same. Two members of the series feature a display camera hole, whereas the Redmi K70 Pro features an under-display camera. The size of all three smartphones is the same. They are made out of glass and metal. The bezels are thin and physical buttons can be found on the right side of the devices. Their backplates are slightly bent towards the sides, and their sides are flat. Due to a design decision, the camera island on the rear is huge on all three devices. It crosses the top of the rear of the phone.
Specifications of the Redmi K70 and K70 Pro
Both smartphones feature a 6.67-inch 3200 x 1440 AMOLED display, a 3,840Hz PWM high-frequency dimming, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 2,160Hz instant touch sampling rate, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 4,000 nits of peak brightness. The Pro member of the series is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, whereas the basic version is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 flash storage and 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM are available on the Redmi K70 Pro and 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 flash storage are available on the Redmi K70. Both smartphones pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging, while there is no support for wireless charging. An IR blaster and an in-display fingerprint scanner can be found on both devices.
A 50MP primary camera with a Light Fusion 800 sensor, OIS, and EIS can be found on both the Redmi K70 and K70 Pro. The other two camera units are different. The Pro variant features a 12MP ultrawide unit and a 50MP telephoto unit. On the other hand, the Redmi K70 features an 8MP secondary camera accompanied by a 2MP macro camera. Both smartphones feature a 16MP selfie camera.
Other connectivity features of the Redmi K70 and K70 Pro include support for stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and Bluetooth 5.4. The devices measure 160.86 x 74.95 x 8.21mm and weigh 209 grams. The Redmi K70 Pro Automobili Lamborghini SQUADRA CORSE is slightly different and weighs 211 grams.
