Tweets can now be as long as 4000 characters

For a while now the character limit on tweets has been a big subject. There were days when it was just limited to 120 characters. A few years ago, it changed to 280 characters. This length incline with the thoughts and just a little more than a user desires. Well, we can expect much more from Elon Musk. Recently, it was announced by the CEO of Twitter that from now on the length of tweets is going to be around 4,000 characters.

Since Elon Musk has occupied the social media site, enough propaganda is going on. Where it took a positive start with the news that Elon intended to introduce the edit tweet button. Where this edit tweet button is only provided for Twitter Blue members. Although some of these propaganda terms seem to be settling down somehow.

This news is based on a short tweet. Allan Obare, a Twitter user questioned Elon Musk whether the rumors about 4,000 character tweets were true or not. In response to his query, Musk replied with a Yes. A jump from 280 characters to 4000 is quite significant. It is about a 1420% increase.

Given the 4000 characters, users can project their ideas and thoughts well. We can expect longer tweets now. Though, even they don’t fill the complete 4000 characters. Given the higher limit, some users even post full articles.

As of now, it is uncertain when Elon Musk introduces this feature. Furthermore, it is not sure whether this feature is preserved just for premium members or for all users. What is known is that users will definitely enjoy this facility.
