Upcoming Apple iPad Pro’s OLED panels go into production

Apple is developing a new version of the iPad Pro, which is likely to be released this year. The forthcoming tablet is rumored to come in two screen sizes: 11-inch and 13-inch, with both variants featuring an OLED display. According to numerous rumours, the business would source the screens for the 11-inch and 13-inch models from Samsung Display and LG Display, respectively. A latest rumor exposed the production status of the OLED panels and the two tablets, as well as an estimated release date for the iPad Pro 11-inch and iPad Pro 13-inch.

According to The Elec, Samsung panel will begin production of the 11-inch OLED panel for the iPad Pro 11-inch this week. According to the newspaper, LG panel plans to begin production of the 11-inch OLED panel for the forthcoming tablet around the same time as Samsung Display. The news outlet also mentions that LG Display has recently begun producing the 13-inch OLED display for the iPad Pro 13-inch.

Apple will introduce the 2024 iPad Pro series in April

With the OLED panels of the two models entering mass production, The Elec reports that Apple will begin production of the iPad Pro 11-inch and iPad Pro 13-inch in March 2024, with the two devices available in April 2024. Ming-Chi Kuo also stated that he expects Apple to release the new iPad Pro in the second quarter of 2024, which runs from April to June. So the recent report from Korea is consistent with past ones.

Aside from an upgrade to OLED displays, Apple is likely to equip the forthcoming iPad Pro lineup with Apple M3 CPUs, the same chipsets used in the most recent Mac devices. Aside from that, anticipate the two models to have better cameras, longer battery life, and speedier connection. Expect the two tablets to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 series, which debuted late last year.
