Users to get enhanced video calls experience on slow internet connections with Microsoft Teams

Microsoft is launching a new plan for low-data internet connections, saving loads of dimes and speeding up the servies.

It has been almost a year since many shifted from office work routines to work from home routines. Where the internet companies feared losing market share after this work routine, they started working on services to offer the best services to home users.

In doing so, recently Microsoft Teams is adding a Low data mode to its online platform for video calls using limited data. The users will also be able to adjust video call settings based on the network.

According to Microsoft:

Whether you want to preserve data or are in a location with a poor or limited network connection, sometimes it’s helpful to limit the amount of data you’re using during a video call. A new low data mode allows users to cap the amount of data that will be used during Teams video calls as well as establish different settings based on network availability.

Additionally, Microsoft is also working on a new feature to let users transfer an ongoing call from one device to another. Initially, this feature will be available to commercial customers and then send to the masses.

So much so, Google is also on the same plain. With Google Chrome 89, users will get the same experience – better video calling experience on slow internet connections.
