Vivo is thinking about releasing its first foldable device worldwide

Recently, Vivo debuted the X Fold 3 Pro in China. It appears like the company is considering to launch its foldable in the international market. The global version of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has just surfaced on the SDPPI certification page for Indonesia, indicating that the country may soon see its release.

It appeared on the platform with 98278/SDPPI/2024 certificate number, V2330 model number and X Fold 3 Pro moniker. The phone’s appearance for certification points to a potential global release, making it Vivo’s first foldable device for the market. The company’s folding gadgets were previously only available in China.

Reportedly, the Vivo X Fold 3 features an improved hinge for durability that reduces the screen crease. It features a tough ‘Armor Feather’ body. It measures 11.2mm in thickness when folded and 5.2mm when unfolded. It weighs 236 grams.

The foldable will have ultrasonic fingerprint scanners, a big 8.03-inch folding OLED panel, and a 6.53-inch OLED cover display with high resolutions. Additionally, it will feature support for a peak brightness of 3000 nits and a smooth refresh rate of 120Hz. It I reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB or 1TB UFS 4.0 storage options.

On the software end, it runs on Android 14-based OriginOS 4. It packs a 5,800mAh battery, with support for 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The Vivo X Fold 3 features a 50MP main sensor, a 64MP periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide unit. On the inner and outer screens, it features dual 32MP front cameras.
