Vivo is a Chinese multinational tech company. It is associated with manufacturing smartphones, smartphone accessories, and software. iQOO is its subsidiary where BBK Electronics is the parent company. Currently, the company is conducting Vivo’s Imaging Festival. The event is scheduled from July 23 to July 31st.
Interestingly, the company has come forward with a major declaration at the festival. Reportedly, the company has recently introduced its V3 imaging chip. The V3 chip has the capacity to premiere 4k movie portrait mode. It will be used in the company’s upcoming flagship smartphones. in simpler words, the V3 chip is the same as the Cinematic mode on an iPhone.
Jia Jingdong, the company vice president and general manager of brand and product strategy, previewed the announcement on Weibo. The executive has shared the details and specs of the self-developed 6nm V3 chip. The V3 chip will enable Vivo smartphones to record portrait mode films at a resolution of up to 4K. In addition to this, it will also provide sophisticated post-processing editing features.
Well, it is not just the 4k portrait mode, rather the chip will feature more features. Currently, there are no details regarding the devices that will feature the chip. A good bet would be on the vivo X100, which is set to launch as this year’s imaging flagship sometime in Q4.
