Vivo might be the first company to utilize Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset in a foldable smartphone

According to some recent pieces of information, Vivo could be the first company to introduce a foldable smartphone based on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The recent information comes from Digital Chat Station, a renowned tipster from China.

The information was shared on Weibo. The source mentioned the name of the device i.e., Vivo X Fold 2. Vivo X Fold 2 is a descendant of Vivo X Fold introduced in April 2022. It is anticipated that Vivo X Fold 2 could arrive in a similar timeframe as the Vivo X Fold.

Besides this, the source has shed some light on the spec of the forthcoming device. According to him, Vivo X Fold 2 will feature a 4,800mAh battery, and support 120W wired charging. The 120W wired charging will charge the battery spontaneously. No further information has been shared by the tipster. Possibly more4, information will follow in the upcoming weeks.

When it comes to design it is uncertain whether the company keeps the previous design intact or introduces some changes to it. Actually, the company introduced the Vivo X Fold with the same style as that of the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The foldable is book-style. It has a large inner and outer display.
