WhatsApp’s Settings menu now contains a search bar, got a whole lot easier to navigate

WhatsApp is no longer just a messaging app like it was some years ago. During all these years, it has gotten a whole series of new features that have made it among the best messenger apps on Android. All these latest features have made the WhatsApp settings menu quite different from what it was before. WhatsApp’s menu has become intricate with some of the latest options and submenus. WhatsApp is adding a search bar in its settings mode to make it easier for you to access your settings.

This search menu will lead you directly to the settings you want to access, whether it’s about a specific feature or any other setting regarding the platform. In older versions, this option wasn’t available, and you had to search in various menus to access the settings you wanted.

This option will let you directly dive into the settings menu, whether you want to encrypt your backups on Google Drive,  customize your privacy settings, or delete the app data from your device. You no longer need to search in menus and submenus. You can search for the required setting in the search bar, and it will lead you right to that setting.

It doesn’t sound like a prominent change, but it’s quite helpful in terms of accessing the latest features through settings. As per reports from WABetaInfo, this latest feature on the search bar in the settings menu is available in the v2.23.8.20 beta version for Android. It seems that it’s a server rollout, as it’s available to some users even on older versions.

You can check out your settings menu to see if it’s available or not if you’re using WhatsApp’s beta version. And if it’s not available just yet, you’ll need to wait until its public rollout.
