Xbox Game Pass in July: Halo remake, Day 1 highlights and new games

Microsoft introduced the second wave of new additions to Xbox Game Pass in July 2026. Subscribers can expect eight titles, including the remake of the first-ever Halo shooter and a new role-playing game from the Pokémon developers.

New games for Game Pass

Microsoft has announced the lineup for the second half of July for Xbox Game Pass. By the beginning of August 2026, the group will add a total of eight games, four of which will be added to the subscription directly on the day of release. The focus is on the remake of the first Halo part in the fifth version of the Unreal Engine. Halo: Campaign Evolved will be available starting July 28th. The remake of the 2001 campaign features revised graphics, three additional missions and a four-person online co-op mode. A disadvantage for competitive players is the complete lack of classic multiplayer modes, as the development studio has focused entirely on the shared gaming experience.

The current offering is rounded off by the terraforming survival game The Planet Crafter, the pirate city building simulation Corsair Cove and the new edition of the retro shooter Heretic + Hexen. The latter will be available from August 4th and is aimed at fans of classic first-person shooters from the 1990s.
