Series finale and sci-fi in June
From June 26th, Disney+ will show the fifth and final season of the drama series The Bear: King of the Kitchen. The action begins after bad news: top chef Carmy has surprisingly given up the restaurant business. The remaining team now has to complete the very last service without financial resources. Avatar: Fire and Ash will premiere on the streaming service on June 24th. Director James Cameron continues the story of former Marine Jake Sully on the planet Pandora. Sully and his family meet the warlike Ash People tribe there. The third part of the series grossed around 1.27 billion euros at the box office worldwide.
The new comedy series Not Suitable for Work also starts on June 2nd. The format follows five young adults in the New York district of Murray Hill. The protagonists try to reconcile professional success in the financial and medical industries with their private happiness. Mindy Kaling (including The Office and The Mindy Project) serves as executive producer.
More restarts in the summer
In addition to the well-known titles, Disney+ is expanding its portfolio with additional licensed titles and in-house productions. The British comedy series Alice and Steve starts on June 8th. It explores the conflict of a mother whose best friend begins a relationship with her 26-year-old daughter Izzy. What started as a friendship quickly degenerates into a feud that puts a strain on the family environment. Not Suitable For Work | Official trailer
