Instagram Appoints New CEO
Instagram—the Facebook-owned photo-sharing app has appointed its new CEO. The appointed CEO is Facebook’s designer Adam Mosseri. He is appointed to fill the vacancy created owing to a surprise announcement of Instagram’s two co-founders, who surprised everyone by leaving the firm.
Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger—the Instagram co-founders who resigned without any prior notice previous week, said that they are happy to make the announcement of Mosseri being the new CEO of the application. Systrom and Krieger served as the company’s CEO and CTO respectively.
Mosseri was an old Facebook expert and Instagram’s Vice President of Product, so he pretty much knows a lot about both the applications.

The co-founders further said that although they have resigned from serving the company, they still wish and hope that Instagram may continue keeping its community and customers in everything that it does, and they also said that they have full believe that Adam would prove true to these values and that the company would continue to grow and prosper.
Mosseri became a part of the social networking giant—Facebook in the year 2008. At that time, he worked on its mobile product and news feed before he shifted to Instagram. He then became the Vice President of product at Instagram this year in May that is May 2018.
According to the co-founder’s description, Adam Mosseri is a product leader and has got a strong design background and is focused at craft and simplicity. With all this, the guy has got a deep understanding of the value of community.
Adam as a new leader of Instagram would be looking after all the functions of the business and would be recruiting a new executive team which would have an engineering head, a head of operations and a head of product, as informed by the co-founders of Instagram.
