Apple Prepares A Christmas Surprise For Consumers

2020 was a year full of news for the Cupertino house which, with the last November event, closed with a flourish by introducing the first, expected, MacBook with Apple Silicon M1 processor. Yet the news may not be finished yet: an internal document sent by Apple to AppleCare service technicians suggests it, which provides clues about a further announcement related to hardware products and set for next December 8. The content of the document was shared by MacRumors which specifies:
Apple has advised technicians to prepare for new product SKUs, new/updated product descriptions, new/updated product pricing.
The memo underlines that the technicians will have to be ready for the aforementioned news starting from next Tuesday. The source points out that Apple has sent similar warnings in the run-up to the launch of other hardware products – most recently the iPhone 12 range. It is therefore not excluded that Apple will introduce one or more products on Tuesday, but it could do so simply by issuing a press release, without dedicated streaming events. One last news to close 2020. The hypotheses in this regard can only be linked to the devices subject to previous rumors and not yet announced, three in particular: the AirTags (accessories for tracking objects), over-hear headphones AirPods Studio – both had been spotted again in the iOS 14.3 beta – and the revamped Apple TV.
These are theories that are not corroborated by precise clues about the type of device. What is certain is that Apple has diluted the announcements over the months as never before this year, avoiding concentrating all its hardware innovations in one big event. If there is still some minor product to introduce, doing it in time for Christmas might be a good strategy.
