Apple’s Cheapest iPad Launched for Students

Apple has launched its cheapest iPad with its Apple pencil. The aim of the iPad is to attract the students and provide efficient, affordable tools that can promote education in the USA.

The starting price of the iPad for the students is $299. For the consumers, the starting price is $329. The tech companies are competing in the US schools market by providing cheaply affordable tech gadgets, laptops, and devices to the youngsters. Apple has also joined the bandwagon.

Education oriented laptops by Alphabet Inc’s Google or Microsoft Corp are sold to the students for less than $200.

The Apple iPads for students appear like the 9.7-inch iPads that have been improved in areas of performance and battery life. They fully support Apple Pencil, the digital stylus of Apple so that the Apps that use the Pencil can be easily used by the users.

The 9.7-inch iPad of Apple is powered by the current processor A10 Fusion chip. Due to its processor, it will become easier for students and consumers to run augmented reality apps, or use the multitasking feature available in iOS11. Other than this iPad will have Touch ID feature, long lasting battery for 10 hours and similar storage capacity as in the previous generation of iPad.

The new iPad was debuted by Apple at Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago, Illinois. We have already told the price of the iPad. The pencil is sold separately for a price of $89 for students and $99 for consumers.

In the iPad, a new app for teachers will be introduced called Schoolwork.  It is a free app that allows the teachers to organize the work of the students, send the documents as handouts and create interesting activities for the students that they can complete on their own iPads. Similarly, a Classroom app is available that allows teachers to keep track of the students and their work.
