Dolby Labs and TECNO Collaborate to Deliver Dolby Atmos to POVA 6 Series Smartphones

TECNO, a tech brand based in China, recently unveiled its collaboration with Dolby Laboratories. With this partnership, the company will introduce Dolby Atmos to its upcoming POVA 6 series. Apart from the news of the recent partnership, the company revealed that the POVA 6 series will arrive at the Mobile World Congress 2024 event in Barcelona.
Dolby Atmos is quite famous for its immersive and 3D sound experience. The audio technology uses an object-based approach that permits the sound to travel freely in a 3D space. Originally, this technology was developed for cinemas. With time, it was widely adopted in soundbars, headphones, theaters, and other audio systems to offer a more realistic audio experience.
TECNO’s General Manager, Jack Guo, spoke on the partnership’s effects. Guo stated that enhancing the user experience is our aim. He added, “Introducing Dolby Atmos to our phones is a significant step in providing our global users with high-quality audio.” Vice President of Commercial Partnerships at Dolby Laboratories, Javier Foncillas, also spoke about the partnership. We’re glad to expand the number of individuals who can enjoy Dolby Atmos on TECNO phones. He clarified, “This technology improves the quality of all music, games, and videos. It’s not just for fancy audio.
The TECNO POVA 6 Pro 5G will debut at the MWC 2024 event. With its emphasis on improving the gaming experience through rich audio, this phone is marketed towards younger consumers. In the future, TECNO plans to add Dolby Atmos to the CAMON and PHANTOM series. This approach is in line with the company’s ambition to provide top-notch entertainment to consumers.
