What to expect from CES 2017?
The Consumer Electronic Show CES is starting this Thursday and ending on Sunday. The year 2017 promises a lot in terms of gadgets and innovation. Since, the CES is turning 50 years old there is a lot of expectation. At the event many companies will show off their new gadgets . The first CES event was held at New York back in 1976 which was attended by more than 17,000 people.
The consumer technology association says that there will be 1745 companies participating from the UK alone. Around 177,000 people are headed to the show this year. Here are some technologies that you can look forward to this year,
Lunii is an interactive speaker that lets user create their own bedtime stories. It also lets user pick their own story and the characters in it along with what they do. The speakers then read the story out loud. Lunii seems like the perfect nighttime story device for children.
The CES will have a lot of interactive VR and AR devices
Virtual reality is going to be big in the coming years. Oculus Rift and HTC Vive are examples of how quickly the VR market is growing. A lot of VR and AR products are to be developed and shown at the CES. One company called Fove has developed a headset that allows users to control the game with just their eyes. The device can track where users are looking and act accordingly.
The CES will also showcase a lot of devices that make use of voice control and movement. Bixi, which is a French company is showing off a device that will let a person control their tablet or smartphone by waving their hands.

A company that hails from Israel will be showing a device called TytoHome that works like Baymax from Big Hero 6. The device aims to help users stay healthy. The CES will see a lot of devices that aim the fitness side of things.
