From 2024, OnePlus will only use Snapdragon SoCs

In accordance with a fresh rumor, the smartphone company OnePlus is said to be relying only on Snapdragon SoCs from next year on. The information was sourced by a tipster named Digital Chat Station.

OnePlus might begin using Snapdragon SoCs only from next year

It appears that the company will no longer use MediaTek processors. Rather, it is shifting its focus towards Snapdragon SoCs. Well, this is not such a big deal since Qualcomm is a big name in the tech industry. Let us have a look at some of the OnePlus’s upcoming smartphones.

Some previous information suggests that the OnePlus 12 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. On the other hand, the OnePlus 12R will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Whereas the Nord 4 or 5 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip. When it comes to MediaTek processors, not many smartphones from the company utilize them. However, there are a few exceptions, like the OnePlus Nord 3, Ace 2V, and OnePlus Pad, which are some good examples to quote.

The newly rumored information has no official basis. There is a possibility that we won’t get any confirmation. Sometimes, in order to take advantage of a given situation, companies publicize such information. Only time will reveal the facts.

The launch of the OnePlus Open has been postponed

Reports suggest that the company has postponed its launch. Besides this, we must wait for the arrival of the OnePlus 11T as well. It might debut this year or next. According to reports, it will appear similar to the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro.
