Get ready to take a selfie with Snapchat’s AI selfie platform

Snapchat

AI has wide adoption in the tech sector. Slowly and gradually, it is proliferating in the social media industry. As per the information provided by The Verge, Snapchat has come forward with a new AI selfie tool named Dreams. It will create AI-generated selfies. A few months ago, Snapchat debuted My AI. It is a ChatGPT-powered chatbot that enables users to communicate with an invented chatter.

Capture an AI selfie with Snapchat Dreams

People are currently enjoying the entire AI selfie fad. Selfies are taken by individuals, who then use an image generator to create duplicates of the image in various looks. Other applications are capable of doing this, but it was only a matter of time until Snapchat followed suit.

Go to the Memories section of the app in order to access Dreams. Upload several pictures covering different angles of your face. Following this, an image will be generated by AI. One thing to notice here is that this feature won’t be freely accessible to all users like My AI, which is freely available to all Snapchat users.

Notably, eight individual photos, or the first set of Dreams, will be free. However, additional packs won’t be free. They will cost $1 each. Currently, the feature is available in Australia and New Zealand. It will reach other markets shortly. Please be aware that by using this feature, you are giving Snapchat permission to collect your photographs. Just be cautious while using AI tools in order to avoid trouble, since recently Snapchat’s My AI posted user Stories without their consent. The company responded to this situation by referring to it as a technical glitch.
