Google Pixel 7 Pro Specifications Leaked
The new Pixel models should be presented in a few days. Shortly before the official presentation, the technical data sheet for the Pixel 7 (Pro) has now appeared. Both devices have a Tensor G2 SoC, the Titan M2 security chip, and IP68 certification. The slide with the technical specifications comes from a company in Taiwan and was leaked by the leaker Yogesh Brar shared on Twitter.
The data sheet compares the Pixel 7 to the Pixel 7 Pro and emphasizes that both smartphones have a Google Tensor G2 chip. While the standard edition comes with a 6.3-inch FHD+ display at 90 Hertz, the Pro model comes with a 6.7-inch QHD+ display at 120 Hertz. The Pixel 7 has eight gigabytes of RAM and the Pixel 7 Pro has twelve gigabytes. Both versions are available with 128 or 256 GB of memory. The difference in cameras is that the Pixel 7 Pro also has a 48-megapixel telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.
A wide-angle lens with a 50-megapixel sensor and an ultra-wide-angle lens with 12 megapixels are installed in both the standard and the Pro models. Both the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro can be charged via a USB-C port as well as wirelessly. Both models are dust and water-resistant and use the Titan M2 security chip to protect cryptographic keys.
Furthermore, the next generation of pixels can be unlocked using the user’s face or fingerprint. Since there is no 3D depth camera, it remains to be seen whether the method can be classified as safe.
The launch event On October 6th
Although the Pixel 7 (Pro) and the Pixel Watch were already unveiled at this year’s Google I/O, Google itself has not yet published any technical details about the devices. However, a launch event is scheduled to take place on October 6th at 4 p.m. German time. The new models should then be shown in more detail here.
