Latest rumors regarding iPhone SE 4 brings in more confusion to the table
We’ve been hearing a lot of rumours about the iPhone SE 4 for a while now, and the most recent one has caused quite a stir.
iPhone SE 4 rumours bring in more confusion
According to news updates from a well-known analyst, Ming Chi Kuo, the launch of the iPhone SE 4 was cancelled somewhere by the end of last year. Previously, in February, we got some news regarding the revival of a cancelled plan and the device was expected to be launched by 2024.
A follow-up to this news from another tipper brings in the news that this device is nowhere near being ready to launch until 2025. As for the features of this device, a custom 5G modem will be proposed with it that will be a product that the company is aiming to use in their products in the future.
Is this device just an engineering prototype?
Ming Chi Kuo is now back in the house with some latest news regarding the device that declared it just a prototype. He further added that this will just work as a test product that will be used to test 5G baseband chip technology. Due to this reason, there will be no massive production of this product, which makes it unavailable for sale.
Along with that, he revealed that Apple is planning to mass produce its 5G baseband in 2025, but only if things go smoothly during testing. In other cases, it can be delayed until 2026 or further.
The iPhone SE 4 was rumored to be using an iPhone 14 design
Another side of the rumours regarding this device was that its design would be like the iPhone 14, as per information by Ming Chi Kuo. If this was even close to being true, it would mark a significant shift in the series.
Before that, all the devices launched by the company in this series had the same design. These devices mark a similarity with the iPhone 8 design, which has gotten old. So about this rumours: it’s an indication that the company is trying something new. Although we aren’t sure whether this device will be launched or not
