Leak suggests that Motorola Frontier will have a massive camera sensor

We learned last month that Motorola was developing a next-generation flagship phone codenamed Frontier. The leak revealed that the phone would feature top-of-the-line hardware including a Qualcomm SoC, lightning-fast charging speeds, and powerful cameras. A new leak now gives us a first glimpse at the phone’s design. Evan Blass (AKA @evleaks) has published a high-quality rendering of the Motorola Frontier. It shows the phone’s design from several angles. The Motorola Frontier’s striking design is a departure from other Motorola phones, as you can see in these images.

The back of the phone is curved with the Moto batwing logo in the middle. The most striking feature is the large circular camera sensor at the top left. It’s a 194MP, 1/1.5-inch sensor that has OIS support. The text is written in the area around it.

The main camera has two additional sensor cameras, as well as a dual-tone LED flash. Although today’s leak does not reveal the specifications of the two other cameras, a TechnikNews report previously claimed that a 50MP ultrawide sensor and a 12-MP IMX664 telephoto would be added to the primary camera. We see the front of the display, which is curved from edge to edge with a hole-punched cutout for the selfie cam. The bottom of the display houses the speaker, the USB Type C port, and a SIM slot.

According to rumors, the Motorola Frontier will feature a 6.67 inch FHD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip that powers it will be codenamed “SM8475” by Qualcomm. The phone will also be capable of charging at speeds up to 120W wired or 50W wireless. Motorola has not yet confirmed any information about Frontier. We are not expecting the Frontier to launch anytime soon. This is especially true considering that the Moto Edge 30 series launch will be soon.
