Microsoft Launcher New Beta Launched With Surface Duo Update

Microsoft Launcher beta

Microsoft has launched a new version of the popular Microsoft Launcher for Android. This is a new beta version, but the preview only gets improvements and no real innovations.

Microsoft has released a new beta update for Microsoft Launcher for Android. The new update brings version 6.210102.940491 and a number of improvements. This includes providing further optimizations for the Surface Duo. This is interesting because Microsoft has confirmed that the double-display smartphone will soon also be available in Germany. This means that users can then use the alternative app launcher with the new duo.

Bug fixes and improvements

As the online magazine MS PowerUser writes, there are a number of improvements for all users. However, many details are not yet known. The new beta version of the Microsoft Launcher primarily corrects problems that had arisen with the last update. In the release notes, the errors are listed, which should now be fixed again.

Changelog

  • Improvements for Surface Duo – The Start screen settings and the orientation of apps have been improved on Surface Duo
  • Order of apps – The order of apps remains constant even after restarting Microsoft Launcher
  • Browser settings are no longer changed after updates
  • Fixed some issues with the Clock and Weather widgets
  • Known bugs have been fixed and performance has been improved
