Motorola to bring 3 new smartphones from the Edge series

Motorola is working on three new devices – codenames: “Kyoto”, “Sierra”, and “Berlin”. These smartphones could belong to the Motorola Edge series.

Motorola is reportedly said to be working on three new smartphones from the Motorola Edge series. As reported, the new series would succeed the Motorola Edge and Motorola Edge+ and would first launch in the US.

The three new Motorola smartphones are codenamed “Kyoto”, “Sierra”, and “Berlin”. This piece of information came from a renowned tipster, Evan Blass, aka @evleaks.

Another source – TechnikNews – shared something about the device with the codename ‘Krypto’. According to their information, this smartphone would have a 108MP rear camera module along with an 8MP ultra-wide unit, an 8MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Then it is also expected that on the front, there would be a 16 or 32MP camera.

It is said that this Krypto model from the Motorola Edge series would be a budget smartphone. We don’t know the launch dates for this series but based on speculation we expect that the company might introduce the new series in May 2021.

Then we also hear that Motorola will use the Snapdragon 888 in one of three upcoming phones. On the design side, we expect fewer changes compared to the Motorola Edge and Edge+ from last year.

We don’t have more information about this model or any of the other two models. But as always, we expect to hear soon from our sources, and we then would return with more details.
