Nvidia extends the support for ultrawide monitors on its cloud-gaming service

Google Stadia is a cloud-gaming service by Google. It was introduced by the company in 2019. But after the span of three years, the company has decided to shut down the services. Since the tech didn’t succeed in recruiting the user’s interest. On the other hand, the services of cloud gaming streaming continue to progress. Nvidia uses the brand name GeForce Now for its cloud-gaming services. It has now been announced that the cloud-gaming service will now be compatible with ultrawide monitors.

Excitingly the new feature will be ready for a rollout soon. As of now, no official date or timeline depicting the official release has been confirmed. Furthermore, we are not sure which devices will be compatible with these updates. However, if we dive deeper into the official wording, we come to know that it will be compatible with devices ranging from 21:9 aspect ratio to display resolution of 3840 x 1600, 3440 x 1440 pixels, and 2560 x 1080 pixels.

This is quite an interesting update by the company. However, currently, the feature will be limited to the users having Ultimate subscriptions. Furthermore, the company revealed that the feature won’t be accessible to free and priority subscribers specifically in the course of the hands-on demo.

Amazon Luna, Google Stadia, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate are some of the other cloud game streaming services. The services by these companies aren’t compatible with ultrawide monitors. Reportedly, Nvidia is the first and foremost company to extend its support for ultrawide monitors. This step by Nvidia has been taken in response to the customer’s request. Soon it will roll out on a mass scale.

On the other hand, the tech giant Samsung offers various gaming monitors. Likewise, the Samsung Gaming Hub provides users with access to various cloud gaming services including the Nvidia GeForce Now.
