Nvidia RTX Supposed date for sales leaked

The coming weeks will be particularly exciting for gamers. Several graphics card manufacturers will present their new models. First and foremost Nvidia. Now there is information about when customers will finally be able to buy the 5000 series GPUs.

New information about the market launch

It has been known for some time that Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang will present the first models of the new RTX 50 series during a keynote at CES 2025 on January 6th. It has also already been leaked that the cards presented will probably be the GeForce RTX 5090, RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti.

However, it was still largely unknown when customers could expect the first copies to appear on dealer shelves. Now delivers Wccftech However, initial information about periods in which the various models could be sold over the counter for the first time. There is a little surprise here, because Nvidia is probably pursuing a different strategy than with the previous GPU generation.

RTX 5090 is held back

The GeForce RTX 5080 should be available to buyers first in mid-January. The card with 16 GB GDDR7, a memory speed of 32 Gbps and an expected TDP of around 400 watts will probably be in stores shortly after CES. The RTX 4090 started with the 40 series. Nvidia may be trying to increase sales of the 80s cards in this way.

Compared to the RTX 4090, the 4080 was rather unpopular, which was reflected in lower sales figures. This only changed a little with the late release of the Super version. If the RTX 5080 is the first card to be brought onto the market, it could immediately give a boost to sales figures. However, the RTX 5090 should not follow much later.

Dates until the end of March

According to the information, the Blackwell flagship should appear between the end of January and mid-February. Compared to its predecessor, it should deliver a gigantic leap in performance with its 32 GB GDDR7 and 21,760 GPU cores.

But the top model is particularly hungry with a TDP of supposedly 600 watts. In addition, rumors about prices of up to 2,400 euros were already doing the rounds. The other models in the form of the RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti should then follow by the end of March at the latest. There is still no information regarding a release date for the RTX 5060 and its Ti variant.
