Square Enix has released part 2 of its nostalgic role-playing game series Octopath Traveler for PC and console. Variety should be guaranteed because this time players slip into the roles of eight different heroes. There is a new trailer to start with, and a free demo version is also available.
Octopath Traveler 2 tells a completely new story – or eight of them because once again the Japanese developer studio weaves together the adventures of eight travelers whose paths cross again and again. Previous knowledge is not required and with Solistia there is a completely new setting. Visually, however, the game sticks to the mix of 3D graphics and pixel art of the first part released in 2018, and the usual game mechanics, such as expanding skills, return. Octopath Traveler 2 is available
now for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. It is currently not known whether the game will be released for the Xbox consoles at a later date.
If you want to try Octopath Traveler 2 before you buy it, you can download a demo version for the supported platforms. This allows you to visit parts of Solistia for three hours. Progress can then be transferred to the full version.
