The new update brings several new features to the Samsung Calendar app

The tech firm Samsung has introduced some fresh updates to the stock calendar app. The new updates consist of several new features. These include improved shared calendar management, better drawing support, and enhanced dark/light mode settings on Samsung’s smartphones as well as tablets.

The company introduced the new version of the app via the Samsung Community forum in South Korea. The fresh updates have introduced several improvements to drawing. For instance, if a user draws on the calendar using the S Pen, the shape will get transformed into a proper shape. It will be done by long pressing it. It is similar to the operation that is presently offered with the Notes app by Samsung.

In addition to this, the company stated that the latest version carries the dark/light mode. The amazing feature of this update is that regardless of the device UI’s settings, users can select the theme of their choice for the Calendar app. Even, the users can choose the option that will allow the app to swap between the two modes in accordance with the theme of the smartphone. The app has support for displaying the work profile calendar entries on a connected Galaxy smartwatch. Besides this, the company has not shared a word about whether it is just supported for Wear OS smartwatches or whether Tizen watches do have compatibility with it.

The new updates allow the users to share and edit the entries on the calendar. Users can give access to editing to any particular person. A shared Calendar can be created in the app by following these steps: go to Calendar Settings. Select Calendar Management and then click on the option Create Shared Calendar. In addition to this, Calendar invites can be shared via links.

The new update will soon start to roll out in South Korea. Followed by this, it will be introduced in the global market.
