Several of the smartphone brands are relying on the ISOCELL camera sensors of Samsung in their mid-range as well as high-end devices. One of the latest smartphone brands to utilize the camera sensor of a South Korean firm is Tecno. Recently, the Chinese brand unveiled its flagship smartphone for the year 2023. It is named Tecno Phantom X2 pro. It uses two ISOCELL sensors.

The latest smartphone by Tecno utilizes a 50Mp primary camera along with the ISOCELL GNV sensor and OIS. It is believed to be the similar sensor that Samsung produced in collaboration with Vivo. Where Vivo incorporated it in the Vivo X80 Pro. The dynamics of the sensor are 1/1.3-inch with 1.2µm pixels. In addition to this, the second Samsung sensor utilized for the Phantom X2 Pro is the ISOCELL JN1. It is 1/2.76-inch with 0.64µm native pixels. It has an aperture of F1.45, 1.28µm pixels (after 4-in-1 pixel binning), and autofocus.

The secondary camera of the smartphone is quite intriguing. It is based on a retractable lens. Thus, making it a telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom. While using this camera, the lens protrudes outward from the body of the phone. after this, it retracts when another sensor is switched, or the camera is turned off. This design is targeted at keeping the phone’s body thin and slim.

In addition to this, the smartphone utilizes a 13MP ultrawide camera with autofocus. It can even double up as a macro camera. all three back cameras are capable of capturing 4K 60fps videos. On the front side, the phone has a 32MP selfie camera. it is likely a Samsung ISOCELL camera. furthermore, the company has not showcased the exact model number. The selfie camera holds the capacity of 1080p 30fps video recording.
