WhatsApp To Introduce Double Verification Code For More Security

WhatsApp will ask you for a second verification code to log in if you are already using your account on another device.
Over the last few months, WhatsApp has been progressively improving the safety of its users with the inclusion of new functionalities in its platform such as the possibility of hiding your last connection time from specific people or a new privacy option in chats with temporary messages thanks to which the multimedia files you receive will not be automatically saved in the gallery of your terminal.
Well, now, thanks to the specialized media WABetaInfo we’ve just learned that Meta’s proprietary messaging app is working on a new feature that will prevent your account from being stolen.WhatsApp will improve the security of your account with this new feature.
The double verification code is coming to WhatsApp very soon
WhatsApp is working on new functionality to improve your security on the platform and prevent your account from being stolen: a second verification code. Thus, as you can see in the screenshot that we leave below these lines when you try to log in to WhatsApp with your account on another device, the messaging platform will require you to a second verification code to confirm that it is you who is actually trying to register your phone number on different mobile.
This is the notice that will appear when you try to log in to your WhatsApp account with another device and you have already confirmed the first verification code. Thus, once you have confirmed the first verification code, WhatsApp will ask you for a second 6-digit code that will be sent to you, just like the first, by SMS to the phone number with which you want to log in to this new device.
Thus, thanks to this new function, you will know if someone is trying to log into your WhatsApp account and you will be able to prevent this person from stealing your account. WhatsApp is the first instant messaging application to have this function and it is a very useful feature, especially for those users who do not have two-step verification enabled.
Do you have dozens of WhatsApp chats open? The app will add a practical function perfect for you. This new functionality of WhatsApp is still under development and we don’t know when it will reach all users but remember that if you want to enjoy both this function and other future news before the rest, we recommend that you sign up for its Beta program.
