Regarding messaging platforms, WhatsApp is the top choice of most users. Undeniably, it is one of the best messaging apps out there. Several users prefer it for business and interpersonal communications. According to some recent information, Meta is all set to introduce an AI feature to the messaging app. Reportedly, WhatsApp will soon receive the new Meta AI assistant.
Meta is the parent company of the following social media platforms, i.e., Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads. The company introduced the new assistant during Meta Connect 2023. The new Meta assistant is powered by AI. The assistant will have access to real-time information. Well, this is possible because of the partnership between Meta and Bing. It even includes a tool that can help with image generation. The results of your chat will be timely and pertinent since Meta AI will have a new knowledge base.
In addition to the AI assistant, Meta is also working on several AI bots. The interesting thing about these bots is that they will portray a particular personality, history, and skills. The company has collaborated with some significant personalities like Kendall Jenner, Snoop Dogg, MrBeast, and others. Notably, these celebrity figures will represent these AI assistants. Furthermore, Meta declares that the AI bots will use the data available before the current year. On the other hand, the company is working to improve this factor.
The new AI assistant will be available on WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram. Meta’s products, like Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and the Quest 3 VR headset, will also receive the new assistant. One thing to notice here is that the AI assistant is currently only available in English and in the US. Perhaps the assistant will be widely rolled out in the future. In both private and public chats, users can directly ask AI questions. They can generate badges and other pictures with generative AI by using the “@MetaAI /imagine” command and the image generator.
