Farm Science Review: Here’s what you need to know

Farm Science Review

The 58th annual Farm Science Review will be held online for the first time because of the safety and health concerns surrounding traditional events such as this. The website has received more than 40,000 visits, and that’s not counting the number of people who shared their screens. During the event, scientists will discuss invasive species that have been damaging fruit trees, shade trees, grapevines, and many other crops. The Ohio State University Extension educators will mount video cameras on various pieces of farm equipment to show attendees how these insects have affected our landscape.

The exhibit hall is not the only part of the Farm Science Review. The west side of Friday Avenue has antique tractor clubs that will be demonstrating old tractors. On the east side, there are educational agronomic plots staffed by OSU Extension personnel. The east end of Friday Avenue features a shuttle service. On the grounds of the Gwynne Conservation Area, you can check out more exhibitors and participate in field demonstrations.

The Farm Science Review is a three-day event that honors the contributions of individuals and companies. It features an award ceremony and inducts individuals into the Hall of Fame and the Ohio Farmer Conservation Awards. The program is free and open to the public, and attendees can register online for the event. The exposition is open to the public for two days. There is an admission fee, but that is not the only benefit. The educational programs provided by the university are unmatched by any other agricultural exhibition in the country.
