Samsung introduces some exciting new features to the Camera Assistant app

The Camera Assistant app was introduced by the South Korean tech firm to the Galaxy S22 series. It was introduced as part of One UI 5.0 updates. Basically, the app provides the users with control over the performance of the camera. As of now, some recent pieces of information suggest that the company is soon going to introduce some new amazing features to the app. In addition to this, the company intends to present the app across several other high-end smartphones.

The latest update to the Camera Assistant app will add many new features

The company declared on its official forum that the latest version of the app will be presented with three different picture-softening options. These options will be

  • Off
  • Medium (50%)
  • High (100%)

In addition to this, the app will introduce the following new features:

  • granular controls over image sharpening
  • improvement in image capture speed
  • more timer options
  • enhanced shutter tap speed

The users can set up the camera app for turning on the shutter as soon as their finger touches the shutter button. In this way, users will be able to capture a series of burst images, a GIF, or a video. It would be done simply by holding or sliding the on-screen shutter button.

Previously, users complained about the shutter lag on Galaxy smartphones. But the latest version of the app is provided with three improved options. These options include Speed Priority, Balanced, and Quality Priority. Speed priority enables the users to capture a photo as fast as possible. In addition to this, the company has added several options to the timer function. Now users can shoot an image every 1 second, 1.5 seconds, 2 seconds, 2.5 seconds, and 3 seconds. Sometimes the device gets heated while using the camera in continuity. It is due to the high brightness of the screen and heavy processing. It can be resolved by selecting the option of dim screen option with the latest version of the Camera Assistant app.
